In 2018, Oregon law required that pharmacists and prescribers register with Oregon’s PDMP. Pharmacies must submit prescription data to the PDMP system for schedules II-IV controlled substances dispensed to Oregon residents. All Oregon-licensed physicians and PAs who have a DEA number will be authorized for an account to access information from the PDMP system.

Texas Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) and iCoreRx
In 2020, Texas law required that pharmacists and prescribers check a patient’s PMP history through Texas PMP AWARxE before dispensing or prescribing controlled substances including: opioids, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, or carisoprodol.
